Valve
A valve is a device that regulates, controls, or directs the flow of a fluid by opening, closing, or partially obstructing fluid flow. A sound bit complicated? Ok, let me further simplified this. A valve is a mechanical device that controls the flow and pressure of fluid within a system or process. So basically, it controls flow & pressure.Auxiliary accessories

Gasket
A Gasket is an elastomeric component that covers the intersection between two surfaces. They are usually manufactured from a variety of materials, including rubber, cork or paper, metal, copper, and foam. For a gasket to function effectively and seal away any leaks, it must be compressed adequately to generate an entire barrier that will make a seal that is pressure-tight and protect the contents inside the seal. Forced Draft fans
Forced Draft fans are used to force air into the combustion chamber, where it mixes with the fuel being supplied. FD fan is used to regulate an appropriate amount of air to fuel ratio in the combustion chamber to maximize the fuel efficiency. Amount of air required for the complete combustion of fuel is calculated using stoichiometry involved during the reaction of the fuel with air.
Induced Draft fans
Induced Draft fans are used in a system to draw flue gases from the combustion chamber and through the rest of the boiler assembly (Air Pre-heater, Dust Collectors, ESPs etc.) to the stack. Flow depends upon the amount of flue gases need to be drawn and head required to draw flue gases from the system depends upon the sum of pressure drops of all equipment installed in the path of the fan.
Feed check valve
The function of a feed check valve is to control the flow of water from the feed pump to the boiler and to prevent the backflow of water from the boiler to the pump when the pump pressure is less than the pressure or when the feed pump ceases to work. Evidently feed check valve is placed at the boiler end of the delivery pipe of the feed pump. Auxiliary accessories
Superheater
The function of super heater is to increase the temperature of the steam generated by boiler above its saturation point, using the hot flue or exhaust gases coming from the combustion chamber of the furnace. Super heaters are heat exchangers.
Advantages :
- Steam consumption of the engine or turbine is reduced.
- Losses due to condensation in the cylinders and the steam pipes are reduced.
- Erosion of turbine blade is eliminated.
- Efficiency of steam plant is increased.
